My Current 'Go To' Makeup Look..

With new year, brings new makeup and with new makeup brings new seflies!
Only kidding, but i have been keen to show you my current look ive been sporting over the last few months!

Ive been seriously into gold shadow all over the lids recently, no liner and a slick of black Bare Minerals Lash Domination mascara and my eyes are good to go, well it sounds easy but this gold look actually takes three different products to perfect that true 'gold' look..
Mac Paint Pot - Let Me Pop

(please excuse the curly hair and unplucked brows - keeping it real)

Lancome Pigment - 10
Mac Mineralize Duo - Spiced Metal
The products ive been using recently have literally become staples in my everyday routine, the Dior - Airflash foundation is literally my saviour with the cold weather weve got in the UK at the moment as it provides the perfect coverage without drying my skin out even further, a light dusting of the Clarins - Everlasting powder foundation and using my Collection concealer in light to highlight the under eye are, my face makeup doesnt budge all day, and i mean literally ALL DAY, finish off with a light dusting of my new favourite blush - Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick - Nectar and my face is complete.

Using the Estee Lauder - Brow Pencil in 2 i lightly fill in my brows so they're more defined, i do love a good brow and this product fills them in perfectly without that obvious 'drawn on' look.
A little swipe of Mac - Sunny Seoul lipstick over my lips and im good to go.

What are your go to makeup products recently, and if you have any reccomendations for me let me know in the comments below, hope your all having a good week?

Ps: i will be filming a youtube video this week and was wondering what you guys would like to see? let me know x

Mac Playland - Sweet Experience

Happy Sunday everyone :)
As i said in my previous post i recently had a little shopping trip in London, and i picked up a few beauty bits from Selfridges, this beautiful creation being one of them, i was instantly drawn to the MAC stand for obvious reasons, but this time they had an extra little area where they were advetising there new Playland collection, i knew straight away this was going to be a collection for me!
Bright candy pinks, candy floss, pastel unicorns, carousels and pink flamingos, you name it they had it there!
I picked up the amplified creme lipstick in Sweet Experience..

Candy pink, check!
Literally, this is the lipstick i have been searching for pretty much my entire life, the perfect baby pink, think of that pink your barbies wore when you were 10 in a subtler form, i love!

The formula is so lovely, creamy soft but incredibly pigmented, it doesn't dry out the lips, lasts a long time and actually feels quite nourishing on the lips, as far as lipstick goes this is a gooden!
You only need one swipe on the lips for this to be incredibly pigmented, i quite like either dabbing it on the lips or applying in one swipe but blotting off the excess, meaning this will last you a long time, especially good as it is limited edition, although heads up MAC you need to add this to the permanent line, pretty please :)

I hope you agree with me just how pretty this lipstick is, i do believe you cant pick this up online anymore, i have checked MAC & Selfridges and they dont have it online, but always check your local stores as they will still carry some of the shades :)

Home Tour.. Beauty/Blogging Room..

Hi guys, apologies for the lack of posts in the previous months, have had sooo much to do recently that i just havent had the time to upload, im sure you will all here about what ive been upto in the next few months as i have so much to tell you all :) In the mean time if you follow my Instagram you will see more about me as i upload daily over on there @frankiebooblogx

As you will know from the previous post me and Samuel moved house, we now have a beautiful little Victorian Terraced Home with two bedrooms and i have the luck of having the 'spare' room as my own little officey/makeup/beauty/spare room space, Brownie points to him for knowing a girl with too much makeup needs a room to put it in ;)

Just to pre-warn you this may be a little photo heavy for your liking but i love posts like this so im hoping you guys will too :)

The room is quite large so i manage fit in a spare bed which is always handy as we usually have people stay over and as much as i want a pretty pretty makeup room we have to be practical too, i absolutely love my bed its from Feather and Black, underneath it also has a guest bed which pops up on legs and actually turns the bed into a super-king so you dont have to squeeze onto the small bed if a couple stays over :)

I wasn't really to sure what to do with this little area, i do want a huge floor to ceiling mirror to go in this gap especially for when im getting ready for an evening out, it currently holds my hair products, brushes etc a cake stand which i plan on popping my perfumes on and a little chair which i will be repainting white, i love it as it came from my mums and plan on using it for future baby in our lives when that day comes :)

In the wardrobe i keep my 'nicer' clothes in here, mainly dresses for going out and nicer tops etc, in the bottom draw houses all my 'extra' makeup, i.e the stuff that i dont keep on my desk in my Muji storage as its products i tend not to use so often or bits from my freelance kit, i will be doing an actual makeup collection post hence why i havent gone into more detail of this, hope you guys dont mind :)

The bedside/nightstand just currently holds these beautiful glass bon bon jars with my cotton balls/pads and cotton buds as its super easy to get to when taking off makeup in the evening, i love little details like these as i feel they add a classy but simple element to the room, i also have a little mirror tray with my earrings in and i like to keep my watch in here too!

My desk is actually the farm house table i had in the old kitchen, i wanted to purchase the Ikea Malm dresser which every blogger and there mum has but i actually really liked the idea of using this as its so large and houses everything nicely with lots of space to take photos, type up posts and do my makeup at.

The reason im using such a huge tv screen as my computer is as its a spare room i still wanted guests to be able to use the tv in the room and its makes typing at the desk so much easier than constantly having to have my laptop there at the same time.

Love this little area of my desk, it just makes me feel good when i walk in the room and always have pretty flowers to cheer me up, also how cute is my little bunny light <3

The light is from Ikea and the floral lights are from Asda, i love simple lighting to make the room look extra girly without being too in your face, the chandelier style shade i picked up from Amazon for around £12 and i love it, it looks super pretty in the room and catches the light from the window aswell so is always sparkling.

I hope you enjoyed a little tour around my beauty space, and let me know which room you would like me too show you all next <3

See you all soon lovelies, love Frankie x

My Current Makeup Storage & Collection..

Ive been wanting to get some sort of storage for my makeup for a while now but due to lack of funds and no where to actually house anything in this house at the moment im having to make do with whats around my home already, i decided on emptying out an old set of draws that was holding a few random bits of Sams clothing, its not how i want it and fingers crossed in the next few months ill be able to change it up by getting some actual makeup storage but for now it houses everything nicely and i can actually get to everything meaning it will finally all get used :) So here goes..

We keep our TV on the draws so we can watch it easily in bed but i always end up using it to watch YouTube videos on, i was watching makeup collection videos at the same time to get some inspiration :)

On top i just keep my makeup brushes in old candle jars with little scented stones inside them to keep them in the jars nicely and adds a nice smell to the room :)

I have my Rituals lavender candle, and a plain sugar scented pillar one, also i have a Dolce & Gabbana powder and my Laura Mercier - Tarte Au Citron body cream which is my absolute favourite, also a mini MAC mirror just incase i need to touch up quickly!

Also the little gold makeup brush is a vintage Guerlain one i brought a few years ago, it has pastel hairs from yellow to blue, purple then pink, its so beautiful and has Guerlain inscribed into the metal handle, i love it and will never use it as its way too pretty :)

I added these little lavender scented love hearts from Primark to the draws just to make them a little prettier.

In the top draw i have all my face products, i basically used old perfume boxes and a Chanel gift box to house everything in, it fits everything perfectly and as i said earlier i can now get to everything so much easier than i could before as everything was stored inside a plastic Muji container and a dozen of makeup bags that were all completely jam packed full!

I have my foundations & concealers in 2 boxes, blushes, higlights & bronzers in another 2 boxes, face primers in one box, my setting sprays have been kept inbetween some of the boxes and i also added a few hair clips/bands in there too for keeping my hair of my face when im applying makeup :)

Next up i have my eye products draw, i used the plastic Muji draws to house everything in this draw as they fit all my palettes easier, and seeing as i dont have that many of them it all fits quite nicely :)

I have a candle jar which i cleaned out holding all my eye pencils, my Urban Decay eye primer and a whole load of lash glues for my eyelashes which i have just positioned down the side of the palettes so i can get to them easily!

Lastly is my lip draw, i love this draw as it houses all my beautiful MAC lipsticks :D

I had a glass jewellery holder given to me last christmas which actually houses lipsticks perfectly in it, also a section for lipbalms, inside the draw i have managed to stack the MAC lipsticks in threes which mean i have them all in one place if i ever need one, i also have another Muji draw in here holding my other lipsticks/glosses/lip crayons and also another MAC pot which i got from the christmas collection last year containing some more lipsticks as i couldnt fit them all in the plastic draw, in the middle i have all my pot versions of lip products, my holy grail lip balm - Nuxe - Reve De Miel and my Lush - Bubblegum lip scrub.

In the back i keep some little mirrors incase i have friends over doing there makeup and they can use those without having to all crowd around one mirror!

So there you have it, my simple makeup collection/storage, as i say i am really hoping to update it to something alot better than this in the near future and i will be doing that post as soooooon as i get my little hands on some new bits!

Hope you all enjoyed this post, i love snooping through other peoples makeup stashes as im such a nosey parker!

Speak to you all soon and have a good week my lovelys!

Lots of love, Frankie xXx
