Favourite Haircare Products..

As the post title says it all it doesnt really need much explaining other than the fact that im going to give you a run down of all my favourite haircare products that 'i couldn't live without'.

Im going to split them into sections to make it easier for everyone as there a few different types of products in here, admittedly the majority of them are 'higher end' products but these just seem the best for my hair type, that isn't to say that there aren't fantastic drugstore products, an alternative to my shampoos and conditioners are the Aussie Hair-care ones, they are amazing the only reason i havent featured them in this post is because i currently dont have any at home to photograph for you :)

Moroccan Oil - Moisture Repair Shampoo & Conditioner, i love love love this stuff, its aimed at weakened and damaged hair, i definitely had this at the time of first purchasing these products, this was around the time i had ombre'd my hair and then had blonde highlights run through it aswell so my hair was damaged on the ends from all the colour i had put on my hair (thats what working at a hairdressers does to you haha)
This seriously relieved and soothed my dry brittle ends, i had no more breakage and my hair instantly felt stronger and in so much better health, i cant praise this stuff more, theres only one downside to these and thats the prices, Shampoo £16.55 Conditioner £17.25 saying that i would 10000% purchase these over and over again as they really are such amazing products.

Phillip Kingsley - Re-Moisturizing Shampoo & Conditioner, Ive only been using these for about two weeks now but i honestly believe these are working wonders for my hair, it feels refreshed, thicker, more moisturized everything is good about these products, even the price, i purchased these from the new M&S beauty hall and you can pick them up there for £10 each, £15 elsewhere!
They are aimed at coarse textured, or very wavy curly or frizzy hair, i dont have coarse or very curly hair, its just slightly curly/wavy now but can be very frizzy which is why i chose these and my frizz is definitely eliminated using these!

Moroccan Oil - Intense Hydrating Mask, another amazing product by Moroccan Oil, i got this at the same time as the shampoo and conditioner for the same reasons above so i wont get into too much detail, its a treatment that you use 1-2 times a week for around 5-7 allowing it to penetrate the hair before your usual hair cleaning routine!

Phillip Kingsley - Elasticer, i saw Amelia Lliana raving about this in so many youtube videos, her hair is SO amazing that i knew i had to have it, luckily before i purchased it i realised In-Style magazine are giving it away with this months issue so i picked up two :)
Ive only used this the twice so far so i cant comment hugely on it but so far it has given my hair a new boost of life, another treatment you use pre-shampoo although this one you use for 10-20 minutes!

Aveda - Damage Remedy - Daily Hair Repair, this is a leave in product once you have shampoo'd and conditioned, it instantly repairs and protects from heat styling, i use this everytime i wash my hair as it has the protectant in it for when i blowdry my hair and it works at keeping my hair frizz free and moistured - a must have for dry hair!

Percy & Reed - Totally TLC Hydrating Mask, this is a lovely mask for the hair, i only use this really around once a month (generally because i tend to forget about it) but i love the smell of this which is one reason i like to use it, it has marshmallow in it, where the wonderful smell comes from, it nourishes and strengthens stressed tresses and has coconut oil for deep conditioning and moisturizing, you leave this on for 10 minutes, again pre-shampoo.

Loreal - Ever Sleek - Absolute Smooth Intense Mask, considering this is a drugstore product its probably one of my favourites out of all the masks, its aimed at frizzy, overworked hair and its seriously good stuff, it says to leave it 3-5 minutes but i
usually leave it a little longer just because it works so well on my hair, it never leaves me with any product build up and blowdrying my hair after using this is heavenly.

Moroccan Oil - Treatment, all hair types and light, COULDN'T LIVE WITHOUT THESE!!!
Does that explain it enough haha, i literally use these every single time i wash my hair, in dry hair, overnight left in so it deeply penetrates my hair, its the most amazing product you will EVER use!
It doesnt weigh down hair, its so light and non- greasy, even when you add it to dry hair it just soaks it all in and doesnt leave any residue, i have these two bottles and a small 25ml size of the all hair types version for travelling as theres simply no way im going anywhere without this EVER!
And the smell AHH, i could eat it, it smells so darn good!

Loreal Elvive - Extraordinary Oil, another drugstore favourite, this is such a good dupe for the Moroccan Oil, i brought this as an alternative for the Kerastase oil as i heard this was the same formula so i had to give it a go, i was pleased from the outset, only one draw back with this is if you do apply too much it is quite greasy so a little goes along way!

Bumble & Bumble - Secret Hairdressers Oil, another good product that id heard so many good things about, this is perfect for travelling as its very light and comes in a plastic bottle so good to throw in your suitcase if you have weight restrictions on your flight.
Another formula that can be greasy if you use too much, but atleast it will last you a long time that way!

Macadamia - Healing Oil Treatment, this was a late night TK Maxx shopping trip buy which i dont regret atall, firstly i got it for around £9 which is fantastic as its the 125 ml which retails for around £20, its a wonderful oil, the reason i brought this (other than the price) was that i had heard lots online about this brand, especially the hair masks that it was a must i try it, its a lovely oil, it smells beautiful and really penetrates the hair making it super shiny and soft!

Here are a few photos of my hair in the last few months so you can get an idea of what its like now :)

Writing this post made me realise how many haircare products i absolutely love but i wouldnt change it atall, im abit of a haircare hoarder/obsessive i will literally try everything once, and as i said before i do love a drugstore product too so never disregard them as you can find some hidden gems in the supermarket aisles so if these arent in your budget dont be afraid to hunt around for cheaper alternatives!

I really hope you liked this post as much as i enjoyed writing it, please leave some suggestions of posts you would like to see in the future as i love hearing your feedback on what you would like to see next :D

Whats In My Make-up Bag..

The title of this post is pretty self explanatory but for those of you who didnt realise im going to show you a snippet of whats in my everday make-up bag :)

As ive said in previous posts i dont really wear huge amounts of makeup in my day to day life, foundation, mascara, blusher and lipstick is the general go to look for days at work, although i have been aiming to make more of an effort for work these days so have been adding a few little extras into my routine just to make myself look more polished and put together..

1. YSL - Babydoll mascara, This has to be my favourite mascara ever created, it lengthens, coats every single lash with the blackest formula, it volumizes and just gives you the most amazing looking lashes ive ever seen, it also has a really nice scent to it which makes it a dream to apply!

2. Nars - Sheer Glow foundation, again another formula i love, it is an almost satin finish with a dewy glow, even though the foundation has 'sheer' in its name its isnt sheet atall, infact the coverage is actually really high, i have alot of acne scars (you can see in previous posts) and this covers them completely - a winner for me hands down :)

3. Beauty Blender - i rediscovered this in my makeup collection a few weeks ago, when i first purchased this i absolutely hated it, i think this was because i just didnt know how to use it, now i cant actually see myself applying my makeup without it!

4. Maybelline - Age Rewind Under Eye concealer - a good product for the under eye area, it brightens and conceals even the darkest of circles!

5. Bobbi Brown - Eye Pencil, this isnt a product i use alot as ive been using another product for the brows.. i use this if my brows are looking sparse and really need filling in, and on the occasional night out if im wanting a more dramatic brow!

6. L'Oreal Collection Privee - Doutzen lipstick, just because its new so it has to be in there for a while i guess :)

7. MAC - Sunny Seoul, same reasons as above, its new so im using it more, plus its BEAUTIFUL!

8. Laura Mercier - 60's Pink lipstick, one of my favourite go to lipsticks for everyday wear, nude/pink toned which warms up my face perfectly!

9. MAC Mineralize Skin Finish - Adored, another new product of mine, ive been using this as a blush for everyday use as its so light on the skin and looks as if you just have a flush of colour rather than full on blusher.

10. MUA Pro-Brow, so this is the product ive been using for my brows for months and months now, i cant see myself using anything different than this ever! Its seriously that good, it has three different colour brow powders, a setting gel, slanted dual ended brush and mini tweezers all for £3, YES £3!

11. Laura Mercier - Silk Creme foundation, just incase i fancy a change to my Sheer Glow or darker shade foundation for when im slightly more tanned (very rare and usually found from bottle form haha).

12. Avene - Eau Thermale Spring Water, i use this for a multiple of things, to set my makeup, make powdery finishes less 'powdery' looking, applied to brushes for more intense eyeshadows and to calm down any redness on none makeup days :)

13. Collection - Lasting Perfection concealor, i really dont need to say anything about this as every girl and there dog has this and knows everything about it, one word AMAZING!

14. Clinique - Bottom Lash mascara, used just for the bottom lashes, a teeny tiny wand that gets into all the nooks and crannies and also the only mascara that has absolutely no fall out whatsoever and gives me zilch black under eyes!

Well thats it for my everyday makeup bag, i dont use all these products every-day they are just the essential ones i like to carry around incase i want to switch things up one day, also they are everything i need incase i stay over somewhere and need different products for different occasions :)

Hope you enjoyed this post, id love to see some of you doing this post as im generally quite nosey and would love to see what your everyday products are :)

Lots of love, Frankie xXx

Weekly Favourites..

My blog needs a personal touch to it so i've decided that every Sunday im going to have a 'weekly favourites' post in which i will basically have everything ive been loving that week to show you all, i guess im doing this because i like reading other peoples blog posts like this, i must be nosy haha!

Well here they are for my first week :)

Phillip Kingsley, Shampoo, Conditioner & Elasticizer, these are literally wonderful products, ive only used them the past few days but my hairs been in such good condition since using them, also my hairs felt thicker and softer, with alot more shine :)

My Clarisonic & Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm, these products together have literally transformed my skin, im super in love with my Clarisonic and dont know what i did without it, i thought it was going to make my morning and evening routines alot longer but its actually made it alot shorter as you only use it for one minute :)

My new LOVE sign from Next, its sooo pretty, ive been off work for the week as i had booked some holiday time off so ive been focusing on making the house look nice again, ive painted the dining table white (i love white shabby chic if you couldnt already tell from previous posts) re-arranged everything in the bathroom and had a huge clear out of all the products i dont use and given them away to friends, and just had a general huge tidy up :)

New look in the bathroom, with my new grey heart mirror, i love this its actually quite big and fits my heart theme nicely :)

Laura Mercier - Canyon Clay eyeshadow, i rediscovered this at the beginning of the month and remembered just how much i loved this shade, ive been wearing it every single day since i found it all over the lid for a coppery look, i really love this shade with blue eyes!

Yankee Candle - Warm Spice Tart, oh my god, if you could seriously turn Autumn into a scent this is it!!!
Seriously this has to be my favourite EVER scent for the home, if i could have a perfume of this i would wear it everyday for life!
If you havent ever smelt this than what are you doing with your life, pleaseee go and smell it, im promising you youll love it.
In my head this is our British equivalent to what Bath and Body Works Autumn/Winter candles smell like over in the US, im so envious of them all over there, im currently wishing someone to teleport me to New York so i can wear fluffy coats, drink Starbucks and shop in Sephora!

I hope you all like this new addition to my blog, i feel it gives a little personal edge to it rather than just being solely about beauty products!
Speak to you soon beauties, Lots of love, Frankie xxx

L'Oreal Collection Privee - The perfect Nude..

So on my little shopping trip the other day i picked up a new lipstick from L'Oreal's new collection, The Perfect Nude!

I chose the Doutzen Kroes Nude, a very light almost sheer pinky/nude, very wearable for us pale skinned girls.

The shade is very milky toned, its light on the lips but leaves you with a balmy feel even once the shade has almost worn off, this makes the formulas very moisturizing!

I know this swatch isnt very clear as this shade really doesnt show up on the skin very well, so i have pictured L'Oreals ad of Doutzen wearing her own shade..

Incase you didnt know Doutzen is a Victoria's Secret model, she is absolutely stunning so i knew any shade she had created was going to be beautiful because she wears the exact same tones as myself, she is also rather pale skinned so this was also a bonus for me as i knew i would suit her shade, and it was my favourite of them all :)

The other colours in the collection, if your American the Cheryl Cole colour us Brits have is actually named under JLo's name!

The packing is sleek, with an almost rubbery feel to the outside, it also features a gold clasp holding the lipstick in place, so no rummaging through your bag for the lid, considering im quite the makeup snob and only really like high end products, im really shocked by this collection because they're actually such high quality products, with lovely colour pay off and super moisturizing properties!

L'Oreal you have won me over!

Have any of you tried the new collection, who was your favourite shade?

Another Mini MAC Haul..

Hey lovelies, Before i start this post i want to say thank you to all the people who have taken the time to comment, follow, and look at my blog! It makes me quite happy to see you all enjoying what i have to post, and i love hearing all your thoughts :)

So as i said in my last post that the MAC assistant said the new Indulge collection was due out the next day, i of course ran straight there like a little kid in a candy shop, i couldve purchased all of the new lipsticks as there all sooooo nice!

I really struggled between two shades but ended coming home with only one, Just A Bite, the most beautiful deep red/burgundy shade you've ever seen, think Rebel mixed with Ruby Woo and add a touch of Nightmoth liner and there you have the shade (what i imagine it to be anyway haha)..

The swatch above makes it look really bright red but its actually alot darker and more sultry, literally like youve just taken a bite from someone, oh so Edward Cullen and Bella ;)

My second purchase was again another item i mentioned in my last post, Cranberry eyeshadow, ah thankyou Miss Tanya Burr for introducing me to the most gorgeous burnt red shade ever imaginable!

Its soo pretty, perfect for the winter time, very festive and will look fantastic with knits and fur, i think the lipstick and eyeshadow combination could make the perfect deep sultry look, i love dark makeup especially in the winter, it seems to warm up my face and makes me feel cosy (i know that sounds strange, i must be the only person who thinks like that?)

So i now have 2 little shadows in my collection now, i think i must be in a phase of dark shadows with frost finishes?

Do any of you have any suggestions for me to add to my palette? I used to have so many beautiful colours, im still so sad ive lost my original one, next on my list i think is Nylon and Amber Lights as they were my favourites in the old one!

Speak soon lovelies, Frankie xXx

Mini MAC Haul..

Evening beauties, just a short post to show you a few bits i purchased from MAC today :)

Considering i've lost my MAC eyeshadow palette, i decided it was about time i replaced it, i originally had the old version palette which was my favourite, but i went for the new style as i thought it was time i had the updated one :)
Theres only one downside to purchasing the new palette is that you have to buy two seperate pieces, the inside part which holds the shadows and the case it goes into, this is dissapointing as the original one was one piece and cost around £11 the new one is £14 for the holder and £7 for the inside compartment, although i must say the new palette is alot sturdier and sleeker this time around!

I only brought the one pan shadow to go in it as im slowly justifying the fact i have to replace all the ones i lost :(
I chose 'Coppering' its the most beautiful frost copper colour, extremely pigmented, the reason i chose this one was because ive literally been living in my Laura Mercier - Canyon Clay eyeshadow and wanted a colour that could go with it but one that could give the eyes alot more depth, this look will be perfect for the evening, or during the day when i want a heavy eye and neutral lips :)

My one poor lonely little shadow (hopefully father christmas will bring me a few more)

Lastly i purchased Sunny Seoul cremesheen lipstick, i've been eyeing this one up for the past few weeks, its probably in everyone elses eyes exactly like every other MAC lipstick i own but to me its beautiful regardless and totally different haha!
Its a peachy/pinky/coral colour, im hoping to wear this with the Coppering shadow for a really warm wearable look :)

Im really happy with my choices and a little worried for my bank balance as the girls in the store, who i get on really well with, seeing as im in there most days, said they have the new collection coming in tommorow and i've already been watching them online the last few weeks so fingers crossed im able to refrain myself and only come away with one item (i doubt it)

Hope your all having a wondeful week so far, im currently off work for the week on holiday, although im looking after my poorly boyfriend as he has broken a bone in his knee which he only just had operated on, call me nurse Frankie for the week :)

See you soon my lovelies, Frankie xXx

Mac Mineralize Skin Finish - Adored..

Ive been wanting a peach/pink highlighter for a while now, i have golden ones, i have frosty ones but nothing that i could wear almost as a blush/highlight, i was going to go for the bloggers favourite 'Soft & Gentle' until i came across 'Adored' from the Tropical Taboo collection, i had seen the collection a while ago and really wanted one of the MSF's but wasnt overly thrown by any of them at the time, when there all laid out in front of you it can be overwhelming to pick the right one rather than leaving with all of them, this was the last one in the store from the whole collection, and happened to be the one i had actually liked from the beginning, its described as a coral with a light beige pearl, its almost frosty with a hint of coral/pink to it, once its all swirled together it creates the most beautiful highlight to the face.

Overall im really happy i chose this one over Soft and Gentle, one because its limited edition so i know that not everyone will have it, and S&G is permanent so i can pick that up in the future at anytime.
Even though it is limited edition you can still pick it up at a few stores, also they have the Tropical Taboo collection online so you can always order it on there :)

Whats your favourite MAC product?

Albert Elbaz For Lancome..

As soon as i saw those beautiful mascaras i knew i was going to have to have something from the collection, seeing as i already had the 'Doll Eyes' mascara i didn't really see the point in me getting another just for the packaging, instead i went for the Hypnose Doll Eyes pallette, there are two colour choices in the collection (Doll Eyes and Drama eyes) the palette i chose has very wearable shades, in taupes neutrals and slate colours, all with a subtle shimmer in them!

The colours can be used alone or together to create a smoky eye look, infact i absolutely love the champagne pinky colour in this palette just slightly washed over the lid for a daytime look, so subtle but the colour is beautiful.

As you can see they are very wearable colours as i said, you could use these in the daytime into the evening by adding a little of the brown/black colour through the crease just to make you feel a little more glammed up, perfect for dinner, a night out etc!

I absolutely love the packaging for this palette, its the perfect size too so you can easily carry it around in a clutch bag for top ups through the night, not that you would really need them as they actually have a really good wear to them, but you could always use the mirror :)

Have you brought anything from the Albert Elbaz collection or Lancome in general?

New Summer Fragrances..

Whilst shopping a few days ago i had decided i needed a new summer scent(even though we are nearing the end of our UK summer) i did purchase three perfumes but after i soon realised this was abit too many, i returned the Hugo Boss - Jour as it was my least favourite and stuck with these two beauties :)

I repurchased and old favourite of mine which had been empty for so long but i can never throw the bottles away because there too pretty, this being the Juicy Couture - Peace, Love & Juicy, it has notes of Meyer lemon, wild hyacinth, sweet apple and black currant buds, Sambac jasmine absolute, star magnolia, Malibu poppy, honeysuckle and linden blossom, iris root extract, patchouli blossom and sensual musk, alot of different scents go into this bottle to create a beautiful fruity/musky concoction, i have the original Juicy Couture perfume which is alot deeper in scent, this is a lighter more summery version of the original :)

My second purchase is a new release from Escada, it is part of there permanent range, the Elixir perfume is desctibed as:
A powerful interpretation of the original rose-based fragrance, it is an exciting addition to the ESPECIALLY ESCADA collection, building on the classic Eau de Parfum.

An intense scent which embodies happiness and sophistication, Elixir is inspired by the ESCADA woman who is boldly elegant, radiating confident femininity and joie de vivre, lighting up the room with her smile and energy.
Top notes: Pear, ambrette seed Heart notes: Rose Heart, & Ylang Ylang Base notes: Vanilla, Patchouli, Musk.

I think its become quite obvious that im enjoying fruity/musky scents at this time of the year, im normally one for really heavy smelling perfumes, for instance my favourite is my Tom Ford - Black Orchid and Chanel - Coco Noir, these are still my firm favourite perfumes but i will save those for the colder winter months when you need a strong warm smell to liven you up on a cold day!

I also brought Samuel a new Cologne as he wouldnt ever go out and by them himself, i really wanted to get him the Bleu De Chanel until the assistant showed me the new Gucci - Made To Measure scent, as soon as i smelt it i knew it was the one i had to get for him, its such a manly fragrance but not overpowering!

Whats your favourite summer/winter fragrance, let me know :)
