melony lip goodness!

If any of you have watched my most recent Youtube videos you'll no I've been loving matte formulations in lipsticks recently and unfortunately as beautiful as they look on the lips they absolutely reek havoc in causing them to look and feel dried out, which is something I personally really hate the feeling of, therefore I found myself on the hunt for something that provided beautiful colour, as the liquid lipsticks do but also gives lots of moisture and plumps those bad boys back to life again..

The Stila Lip Glazes were a product I'd heard alot about over the years but for some reason had never picked one up, until I was asked by the lovely guys over at Stila, if I would like to try one out!
I chose the shade Watermelon, which as I'm sure you can see from the photos is such a gorgeous summery pink shade, and smells exactly as the name would suggest too, they are really true to colour once on the lips and rather pigmented for a gloss too, usually I find neutral glosses tend to disappear on my lips, as the natural colouring of mine are quite dark, but the formulation of these allow the colour to completely show through which gives them huge brownie points in my books.

Now usually I'm usually someone who quite likes a sticky gloss as I tend to find these have the greatest longevity in my opinion, therefore meaning they are providing more hydration throughout the day, while the Lip Glazes aren't super sticky, they are very hydrating and extremely long lasting, again big brownie points.

I'd almost go to say that they are pretty high up there in my favourite lip products, which is saying something.. as I have ALOT.

I'm really impressed with the shade I picked up, and will definitely be adding a few more to my ever growing collection, Have any of you tried these, what are your thoughts on them, I'd love to know if you have any recommendations on shades I should pick up, or anything else from Stila you think I would like, let me know below!

Vintage wedding makeup

So i rarely ever divulge into sharing my personal/work related areas of my life through this blog and ive been thinking recently that i really should, as some people may know i work as a freelance makeup artist and have done for around 3/4 years now and the basis of my work is weddings, and when it came to this wedding i just couldn't not show it to you guys!

The beautiful and very colourful bride Clare was seriously one of the nicest people ive ever met, with the most amazing tattoos and vibrant personality, i knew from the minute i met her for her bridal trial that her wedding was going to be amazing and i definitely wanted to be a part of it!

On the day i had Clare and her three bridesmaids to do, who were equally all as lovely and entertaining in there own rights and definitely made the early morning start a bearable one.

For Clare the look was very simple, a bold statement red lip, i used Lancome's La Laque Fever which literally doesnt budge so perfect for a wedding day where you know topping up makeup throughout the day probably wont happen!

For the base i used Dior Skin Foundation, which is a lovely lightweight dewy foundation, i then powdered down the TZone with Clarins - Everlasting Powder Foundation, added a touch of Mac - Dolly blusher with Kevin Aucoin Celestial Highlighter in Candlight on the high points of Clares face.

For the eyes Clare wanted to keep it really simple with a bold wing liner and fluttery lashes, for this i used the Naked 2 Pallette and just used a light dusting of Foxy all over the lids with Mac Fluidline in Blacktrack for the liner, using a Mac liner brush to give a full but very neat winged line, finished off with Clarins Waterproof Mascara and Ardell Demi Wispie lashes.

I thouroughly loved creating this look for Clare on her big day and am so pleased with how her vision has played out on camera in these images, incase your wondering the beautiful photographs are the work of a very talented photographer from Kent named Emma, you can view her work here.. and between you and i, i have her on my list for my wedding, her work is literally stunning!

If Clare isn't hugely proud of how amazing there wedding turned out to be then what about a magazine wanting to feature your wedding in their latest issue, how amazing is that, the piece will be in Rock N Roll bride, how bloody cool!

Thats all from me today guys, let me know what you think of this sort of post and if you enjoyed seeing a little insight into something different on the blog?

Lots of love, Frankie x

My Current 'Go To' Makeup Look..

With new year, brings new makeup and with new makeup brings new seflies!
Only kidding, but i have been keen to show you my current look ive been sporting over the last few months!

Ive been seriously into gold shadow all over the lids recently, no liner and a slick of black Bare Minerals Lash Domination mascara and my eyes are good to go, well it sounds easy but this gold look actually takes three different products to perfect that true 'gold' look..
Mac Paint Pot - Let Me Pop

(please excuse the curly hair and unplucked brows - keeping it real)

Lancome Pigment - 10
Mac Mineralize Duo - Spiced Metal
The products ive been using recently have literally become staples in my everyday routine, the Dior - Airflash foundation is literally my saviour with the cold weather weve got in the UK at the moment as it provides the perfect coverage without drying my skin out even further, a light dusting of the Clarins - Everlasting powder foundation and using my Collection concealer in light to highlight the under eye are, my face makeup doesnt budge all day, and i mean literally ALL DAY, finish off with a light dusting of my new favourite blush - Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick - Nectar and my face is complete.

Using the Estee Lauder - Brow Pencil in 2 i lightly fill in my brows so they're more defined, i do love a good brow and this product fills them in perfectly without that obvious 'drawn on' look.
A little swipe of Mac - Sunny Seoul lipstick over my lips and im good to go.

What are your go to makeup products recently, and if you have any reccomendations for me let me know in the comments below, hope your all having a good week?

Ps: i will be filming a youtube video this week and was wondering what you guys would like to see? let me know x

Life Update, Birthday, Kittens & More..

Hey guys!
So I know its been a very long time since I last blogged and I do have my reasons this time!

Life has been very manic, I started a new job with a luxury skincare and cosmetics company (I wont name them as they have no affiliation with my blogging) its been fantastic and have enjoyed many weeks in London training, with the odd luxury dinner and hotel thrown in there for good measure.

We've had four little extra babies join our household, in kitten form of course ;)

They are all absolutely adorable, the final two are leaving home tomorrow and im super sad, I've been in tears this evening at the thought of them all being gone now, but very happy as they all have really lovely homes to go to with lots of new places to explore!

Aside from all the mania at home Myself and Samuel finalllyyyyy went on holiday this year for the first time in over 3 years, it was extremely well overdue, we actually went with his parents as we had never been away with them before.

We stayed in Matagorda in Lanzarote (where me and Sam had our first ever holiday together 7 years ago) and it was actually a really lovely time, we ate delicious food, visited beautiful underground caves and visited the old town where we first went all those years ago, of course there was a little shopping involved which I will be filming a haul video of very soon :)

The past few months have been a whirlwind, as my readers will know I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks and have previously been on medication for this which I can say after a manic few months of being all over the place I am finally medication free and have been for almost 8 weeks now and I feel so free and happy to finally be rid of the awful things, don't get me wrong I do still have all the same problems as before, I just manage them a lot better now with the added bonus of feeling like ME again!

See.. I told you I had my reasons ;)
Im really glad to be back to blogging again, I've been wanting to write a post for a while now but just needed the right time to come for me to get back into the swing of things and finally feel ready with myself to do so!

There are some huge things coming my way for 2015 and I literally cannot wait to share my journey with all you lovely readers, for now lets concentrate on Christmas and what the festive season brings us!

Lots of love, Frankie xXx

Chanel - Soleil Tan De Chanel

Evening my lovelies. Hope your all well, the past few days have been busy ones, shopping in London over the weekend and back to work after a long and lovely 8 days off!

My recent shopping trip found me adding some new beauties to my collection, I've actually just uploaded a haul on my YouTube channel of the bits I picked up, but today I'm bringing you one of the special pieces I picked up, a product I've been lusting after for a long time now, that being the Chanel - Soleil Tan De Chanel!

The beautiful packaging is just where the love for this product begins, housed in a gorgeous solid tub with the classic black lid and chanel gold engravings, this looks beautiful on show on my makeup table!

The product inside is just a dream to use, lightweight but pigmented, this glides into the skin effortlessly, while you do need to buff this in thoroughly, once blended its creates the perfect faux glow, perfect for a pale skinned girl like me.

I adore the finish on the skin this product gives me, a few days in the sun is now no longer needed as this gives the appearance of having been on holiday, you know those first few days where your just starting to tan and everything you put on seems as if it looks much better, yea that does this!

The first time I applied this I had a few compliments on how healthy my skin looked and the old "have you been on holiday" was snuck in there too!
I actually used this as a base for my foundation to sit on top off and it works like a dream, my makeup actually lasted a whole lot longer than usual so I would go as far as saying you could use this as your daily primer too!

To proclaim my love to this once more. I'm actually obsessed with this product, I rarely throw that out there so for me that's a big deal. I thought I loved my Boujouis dupe but hell no, compared to this I'll quite happily ditch any bronzer for this any day!

I really hope you enjoyed this post, and don't forget to take a peak at my London Haul video over on YouTube search Frankie Boo for my channel and I'd love for you too subscribe and leave me a comment saying your popping over from the blog!

Lots of love, Frankie x

Clinique - Anti Blemish Solutions Foundation

Afternoon my lovely friends, hope your midweek Wednesday is going well?

Today I'm blogging to you about a wonderful new find I stumbled across recently, that being the Clinique - Anti Blemish Solutions foundation, I have the shade 01 Fresh Alabaster which is the lightest shade in the range, seeing as I am SUPER pale and even this can be slightly dark on me so a warning to anyone who is on the fairer side, get colour matched before you buy this, something I didn't do.. that being said I quite like the colour of this on me, gives me a little hint of colour!

The formula to this foundation isn't too heavy, its gives good coverage whilst still being light on the skin which is definitely something you need when you suffer from acne as I do (I have previous posts that are more in depth about this).

You can just see where my hairline is that the colour is slightly dark for me but it blends well into my neck which is where i generally tend to worry more as I hate the obvious foundation lines that I coveted back when i was 13!

I wanted to actually test this foundation out before I popped it up on the blog as I feel this is a product people will want to know more in-depth about before the go out and purchase it, although I do feel this is worth the money.. I believe this has actively cleared up numerous current outbreaks I have had, my skin has been much smoother in appearance and overall it looks much brighter and healthier.

The oil free foundation is aimed at actively controlling breakouts, neutralizes redness (definitely a problem I suffer with) whilst preventing future blemishes, I really feel Clinique have got this formula and testament bang on, I feel much more confident with my skin makeup free now than before as combining this with there skincare (post coming up on this soon) i have clearer fresher skin!

The finish of the foundation is quite matte, I would almost say you could get away without using a powder on top of this, unless you are more on the oilier side, it smoothes out perfectly using a buffing brush and is almost invisible once dried - beware though this is a very fast drying formula so you will need to work quickly!

Another feature I find fantastic about this foundation is the bottle, especially the little nib where the product is dispersed from, it controls the amount of product you use by only allowing you to squeeze what you need out from it, I would say a 10p piece on the back of your hand is the perfect amount for a full face meaning this will you last you a long time and no wastage!

Overall I've enjoyed using this foundation and think I'll be sticking with it until something else catches my wandering eye #beautybloggerproblems, keep your eyes peeled for the skincare instalment from Clinique coming up soon!

Do let me know if you have any questions about this or anything else skincare related as i love to hear from you!

Frankie x

The Filming Face

Hi my lovelies, so as I recently explained in a blog post I am starting the wonderful and crazy world of Youtube :D

Today I filmed my third video (the first two were trial runs to get my confidence going), I decided the best thing to get me started was to film the ever predictable 'beauty guru' obvious, the "what's in my makeup bag" video!

Its actually been really fun to film, getting used to talking to no-one is actually surprisingly easy the hardest partest is strangely the editing, its super hard to get your head around and unless you have had some sort of training in it you will most likely struggle as I have, I cant even cut parts out yet haha!

So todays post is dedicated to my 'Filming Face' - what I wore for my first video..

I was really nervous about how to do my makeup as I wanted to represent myself to exactly who I am, I didn't want to over-do it, I wanted to keep things to how I would usually apply my makeup just a tad more put together for my viewers :)

I used Lancôme - Tient Idole Ultra as it is a good foundation for me as I like abit of coverage that will still allow my skin to breath (it can get a little hot being all flustered infront of the camera you know!)
I also applied a little Collection - Lasting Perfection concealer under the ol bags under my eyes and down the bridge of nose as a slight contour, along with a touch of my Illamsqua cream blush in Seduce to add a pinched flush to my cheeks just to make me look a little more awake than zombiefied, lastly for the base I brushed some MAC Mineralize Skin Finish - Adored to give me a healthy glow and highlight on the tops of my cheekbones, I 'adore' this highlighter, its the perfect shade for me as im just a little on the pale side!

Loving the shot I managed to grab here haha & excuse the top being a tad see-through (oops) #filmingfail.

Prepping the lips was a must before anything could be applied to them as for some reason I seem to have awoken with super dry chapped lips today so I used my Lush Lip Scrub - Bubblegum (tastes freaking amazing) with some Lanolips Lemonade Lip-Aid to make them all soft again I then used my favourite formula glosses at the moment - Tanya Burr - Exotic Island which has to be one of the prettiest blue pinks imaginable, and makes your teeth look white white - always good for being on film :)

Eyes and brows were kept pretty simple, as I explained earlier I didn't want to stray to far from my usual everyday look so kept it muted with MAC's Naked Lunch and Satin Taupe shadows light brushed over the lids, my sleek brow kit in light, I only applied the shadow to my brows as the gel can be a little heavy for the daytime and is slightly too dark for me, then set this all in place with my No7 Brow Set Gel :)

I really hoped you liked this post and having a little delve into a sneak-peek of what will be coming up on my channel soon, atleast once ive mastered the technique of editing!

See you soon, Frankie xxx

Dior - Fluid Stick - Kiss Me

Afternoon my lovelies, today im going to ramble on about another lip product ive added to my already big enough stash, and that comes from one of my favourite brands the wonderful Dior.

Dior Makeup have brought out a new release of these lipstick/lipgloss hybrids that every brand seems to be releasing a version of recently, they are a gorgeous formula, very pigmented whilst nourishing on the lips, there is also 16 colours in the collection, so something to suit everyone!

I chose the colour Kiss Me, aside from the cute name i loved the shade, i seem to have been on a mission this month so find the 'perfect pink' for me, as much as im loving my Hourglass Origami (post below) ive been using this for when i want a heavier pigmented pink on the lips rather than a flush of colour, and this does that perfectly in one sweep.

The fluid sticks contain water for maximum lightness on the lips, they literally feel asif you have applied a lip balm but provide intense colour at the same time, perfect for days when you have no time for touch ups as they create a stain underneath the gloss, so when it wears off you still have pretty lips :)

Ecxuse the pale awkward face, wearing Kiss Me (freshly applied)

I also adore the packaging, housed in the typical Dior lipstick style, it looks like a lipstick from the outside but when you twist the lid it reveals the doe foot applicator keeping the lipstick shape intact!

They also have a really lovely scent about them, which i love!

Have any of you picked up one of these yet? If so what colours did you go for, id love to try some more, what are you reccomendations?

See you soon, Frankie x

Hourglass - Extreme Sheen Lipgloss - Origami

Yep its that's little pink beauty above, the Hourglass Extreme Sheen Lipgloss, a very luxurious little present to myself.

Origami has to be the prettiest spring pink you could pick, one swoop of this loveliness on your lips and your set for a picnic in the park, the formula is just as beautiful too, think pigmented but not sticky, nourishing but not wet, it has the perfect consistency for transitioning from day to night-time, just add a second layer and your good to go for that perfect pink lip along with a gorgeous tan and little dress.

I adore these doe-foot style applicators, this has a large one but is completely fool-proof to apply, I love the way I can literally pop this on the go without a mirror at hand and know that it will look perfected, products like this are a must in my life as im always busy and like to be an 'train journey makeup on the goer'

I also have a personal little place for this lipgloss is my heart as it literally smells to me like my holiday to Cuba with Sam, the scent of it reminds me of suncream i wore whilst there and it literally makes me feel warm inside when i apply it as it just takes me back to my favourite place with my favourite person <3

The lovely sales assistant in Space NK was wearing another of the hourglass shades in Nectar which is the next one on my list to pick up, but I instantly knew Origami was the first shade I should pick up as it just suited my needs for the perfect pink daytime gloss, I definitely think after trying the Tanya Burr range im now a fond lover of gloss again, which needless to say my lips are loving all this hydration after years of matte mac lippies :)

Have any of you tried anything from Hourglass and have any reccomendations for me, let me know lovelies!

Home Tour.. Beauty/Blogging Room..

Hi guys, apologies for the lack of posts in the previous months, have had sooo much to do recently that i just havent had the time to upload, im sure you will all here about what ive been upto in the next few months as i have so much to tell you all :) In the mean time if you follow my Instagram you will see more about me as i upload daily over on there @frankiebooblogx

As you will know from the previous post me and Samuel moved house, we now have a beautiful little Victorian Terraced Home with two bedrooms and i have the luck of having the 'spare' room as my own little officey/makeup/beauty/spare room space, Brownie points to him for knowing a girl with too much makeup needs a room to put it in ;)

Just to pre-warn you this may be a little photo heavy for your liking but i love posts like this so im hoping you guys will too :)

The room is quite large so i manage fit in a spare bed which is always handy as we usually have people stay over and as much as i want a pretty pretty makeup room we have to be practical too, i absolutely love my bed its from Feather and Black, underneath it also has a guest bed which pops up on legs and actually turns the bed into a super-king so you dont have to squeeze onto the small bed if a couple stays over :)

I wasn't really to sure what to do with this little area, i do want a huge floor to ceiling mirror to go in this gap especially for when im getting ready for an evening out, it currently holds my hair products, brushes etc a cake stand which i plan on popping my perfumes on and a little chair which i will be repainting white, i love it as it came from my mums and plan on using it for future baby in our lives when that day comes :)

In the wardrobe i keep my 'nicer' clothes in here, mainly dresses for going out and nicer tops etc, in the bottom draw houses all my 'extra' makeup, i.e the stuff that i dont keep on my desk in my Muji storage as its products i tend not to use so often or bits from my freelance kit, i will be doing an actual makeup collection post hence why i havent gone into more detail of this, hope you guys dont mind :)

The bedside/nightstand just currently holds these beautiful glass bon bon jars with my cotton balls/pads and cotton buds as its super easy to get to when taking off makeup in the evening, i love little details like these as i feel they add a classy but simple element to the room, i also have a little mirror tray with my earrings in and i like to keep my watch in here too!

My desk is actually the farm house table i had in the old kitchen, i wanted to purchase the Ikea Malm dresser which every blogger and there mum has but i actually really liked the idea of using this as its so large and houses everything nicely with lots of space to take photos, type up posts and do my makeup at.

The reason im using such a huge tv screen as my computer is as its a spare room i still wanted guests to be able to use the tv in the room and its makes typing at the desk so much easier than constantly having to have my laptop there at the same time.

Love this little area of my desk, it just makes me feel good when i walk in the room and always have pretty flowers to cheer me up, also how cute is my little bunny light <3

The light is from Ikea and the floral lights are from Asda, i love simple lighting to make the room look extra girly without being too in your face, the chandelier style shade i picked up from Amazon for around £12 and i love it, it looks super pretty in the room and catches the light from the window aswell so is always sparkling.

I hope you enjoyed a little tour around my beauty space, and let me know which room you would like me too show you all next <3

See you all soon lovelies, love Frankie x

Autumnal Eyes..

Seeing as Autumn is finally here i decided it was time i break out the autumnal makeup, ive been hunting for the perfect olive/green eyeshadow for a week or so now, with a few mishaps in my search, bottle green and 'halloween' green i have established does not suit me, i have found the perfect little gem for my skin and eye colour!

Lancome Ombre Absolue Shadow in 1202 - Erika is the most beautiful subtle olive green, with a light dusting of shimmery glitter running through it, apparently according to many bloggers out there this has been a very hyped up, talked about colour, which i hadn't actually ever heard of, it was only when i was on a recent trip to Boots i decided to have a look at Lancome's recent offerings i discovered this little gem..

You definitely need to use a primer with Erika as the glitter fallout is unreal, its definite one in which you do your eye makeup before your foundation routine as you will have a very gleen glittery face if you dont, i absolutely love this colour and cannot wait to wear it for my birthday on saturday as i have reserved it for my birthday face of the night :)

Secondly i purchased the Cils Booster XL - essentially a mascara primer which gives you exceptionally long plump lashes in one coat, it has small fibers inside the mixture which prime and protect the lashes whilst enhacing the colour of your mascara once applied..

You apply this to clean lashes as you would your usual mascara, allow it to dry then apply your regular mascara on top of it and you have amazing looking eyes in a flash, i actually didnt expect it to make a huge difference but i was so shocked to see how long it made my lashes look, i can definitely tell the difference when i dont use it now!

Lastly i picked up the Ombre Hynose Mascara in Brown, my reaons for picking up my FIRST ever brown mascara were due to a few YouTubers who i hear keep saying brown mascara works really well for blue eyes and for a pale skin, which is exactly me, ive been thinking for a while now that black mascara is too harsh on my face so this is the perfect balance for me, you cant actually really tell that its brown once its on, it just looks alot softer on my face than a regular black mascara does!

I really love the wand on the Hypnose mascara, it has a curved shape to it which make its really easy to define the lashes and gives you a really lovely curl to them which holds all day!

Have you tried any of these products before? Im actually really loving Lancome at the moment, thanks Carly Cristman for your YouTube videos and sending me back in there direction :)

Happy Sunday everyone :) P.S a little personal note, my baby sister was born on friday evening, so welcome to the world baby Ivy Tabitha Clarke <3
