Day Out Essentials..

Good morning lovelies, so this post is spurred on by a recent trip to a theme park, whilst I was whizzing myself around on all those wonderful but dreadingly sickening rides it deemed across me that I just had to write a post about those 'day out essentials' everyone needs but not everyone thinks of when, ultimately there on there feet all day and only able to cram everything into one of those little side satchel bags!

Go to products have to be east to apply, effortless and last all day without needing to be reapplied as you don't want to be carrying around excess you don't need with you.
MAC Face and Body foundation is a life saver, it's waterproof, can be layered for heavier coverage if needed and looks super gorgeous alone, I apply this with the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer over my blemishes and using this little sample of the Prep and Prem primer so everything sits well on my skin and stays all day!
A few slicks of Soap and Glory's Thick and Fast Mascara as it doesn't smudge on the bottom of my eye area and is a one coat wonder, slap on a layer of Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm (my favourite) and your good to go!

I use the Mitchum Pure Deodorant as it's super fresh, smells so good and lasts a good day without any need to apply more and no horrid smells emitting from those pits to worry about.

I add a few spritzes of a body spray to keep things light and smelling good, one of my favourites are from Victorias Secret, this Wild At Heart is beautiful, if you can have a spritz, do, I guarantee you won't leave the store without it!

People who know me personally know that I'm never seen without a trusty scarf, they have so many multi-purpose uses to them, tying in your hair to keep hair off your face, drape over your shoulders for a cover up from the heat, or to keep you warm when it's cooler or just to add a pop of colour to your outfit.
I always try to keep with these sort of styles above as they are super lightweight and can easily fold up into your bag for when you don't need it!

Scarf - Mango £19.99

Comfort is essential on a long day out, be it lots of walking, or a casual stroll at your own pace taking many photos of the sights, converse or any other type of trainer/plimsoll is a must.
My personal favourite are the white classic ones above as they pretty much go with everything, are super comfy and wash up incredibly well, always good if the day includes some sort of dirt!

The satchel/side bag is my go to, it's convenient to pop over your shoulder or just effortless and casual hanging on the side, they fit the perfect amount of essentials inside them without being bulky or frustrating to carry round with you, also it frees your arms up for those long shopping trips, meaning you can carry more things.. Hello more clothes ;)

All the above products kept me going for a super long day out and I wasn't needing anything I didn't take with me, I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know if you have any other ideas or pieces you take with you on days out.

Lots of love, Frankie x

Current Skincare Routine

So my skincare routine has changed up significantly since the last one I posted a good year ago, everything from my cleanser to mousturizer has been switched up and I'm loving the results I've been having from them combination!

This Garnier Miceller Water is seriously amazing, Ive always been against these cleansing waters as I they always leave my skin with a horrible texture and residue, this doesn't do either of those and I'm pleased I've found a good makeup remover that doesn't cost the earth.

Ok, so no I'm not sponsored by Clinique or being paid to write anything about them it just so happens that the rest of the products I've been using are by them.
I had been breaking out over the last fews months and wasn't sure what exactly was causing it so I decided to pick up these products as I'd heard a lot about them being really good for acne and blemish prone skin, the liquid facial soap lathers up and thoroughly removes left over makeup from the using the Miceller water and feels lovely on the skin, you could use this alone without a toner although I do like to use the toner as part of my routine as it ensures all traces of makeup are removed.

The toner is super clarifying and has a soothing tingle to it, the first time I used it I was quite shocked by how strong the tingling sensation was but after the second use I was used to it and actually enjoyed the feeling as it seems asif it is soothing everything after the cleanser!

Moisturiser is a step I'm quite lazy with, I do tend to forget to apply it and when my skin is breaking out I feel like I should avoid using it as it tends to make my skin worse, I know you have to go through the purging stage with new skincare so I've been trying to stick it out and give this a fair go, initially it feels light on the skin but it thickens up whilst rubbing it into the skin making it quite a rich formula, so far this has been fine with my skin and I haven't broken out any further than before hand.

The last step is to apply the anti blemish solutions spot treatment gel to any current acne I have, this works incredibly well at diminishing and reducing the size of any spots, it clears them much quicker than if I hadn't used anything atall, again this is a product that gives quite a tingle and can be sore if applied to any open acne but only lasts a few seconds, it dries out the spot and the next day whatever I have applied it to is practically disappeared.

I'm currently feeling really happy with my skincare routine and feel lik my skin has cleared itself up significantly since using these products, the clinique skincare range is something I would really recommend especially with people with acne prone skin!

I hope you enjoyed reading about the products that have been working for me recently, have you tired any of them?

Lots of love, frankie

Chanel - Soleil Tan De Chanel

Evening my lovelies. Hope your all well, the past few days have been busy ones, shopping in London over the weekend and back to work after a long and lovely 8 days off!

My recent shopping trip found me adding some new beauties to my collection, I've actually just uploaded a haul on my YouTube channel of the bits I picked up, but today I'm bringing you one of the special pieces I picked up, a product I've been lusting after for a long time now, that being the Chanel - Soleil Tan De Chanel!

The beautiful packaging is just where the love for this product begins, housed in a gorgeous solid tub with the classic black lid and chanel gold engravings, this looks beautiful on show on my makeup table!

The product inside is just a dream to use, lightweight but pigmented, this glides into the skin effortlessly, while you do need to buff this in thoroughly, once blended its creates the perfect faux glow, perfect for a pale skinned girl like me.

I adore the finish on the skin this product gives me, a few days in the sun is now no longer needed as this gives the appearance of having been on holiday, you know those first few days where your just starting to tan and everything you put on seems as if it looks much better, yea that does this!

The first time I applied this I had a few compliments on how healthy my skin looked and the old "have you been on holiday" was snuck in there too!
I actually used this as a base for my foundation to sit on top off and it works like a dream, my makeup actually lasted a whole lot longer than usual so I would go as far as saying you could use this as your daily primer too!

To proclaim my love to this once more. I'm actually obsessed with this product, I rarely throw that out there so for me that's a big deal. I thought I loved my Boujouis dupe but hell no, compared to this I'll quite happily ditch any bronzer for this any day!

I really hope you enjoyed this post, and don't forget to take a peak at my London Haul video over on YouTube search Frankie Boo for my channel and I'd love for you too subscribe and leave me a comment saying your popping over from the blog!

Lots of love, Frankie x

The Filming Face

Hi my lovelies, so as I recently explained in a blog post I am starting the wonderful and crazy world of Youtube :D

Today I filmed my third video (the first two were trial runs to get my confidence going), I decided the best thing to get me started was to film the ever predictable 'beauty guru' obvious, the "what's in my makeup bag" video!

Its actually been really fun to film, getting used to talking to no-one is actually surprisingly easy the hardest partest is strangely the editing, its super hard to get your head around and unless you have had some sort of training in it you will most likely struggle as I have, I cant even cut parts out yet haha!

So todays post is dedicated to my 'Filming Face' - what I wore for my first video..

I was really nervous about how to do my makeup as I wanted to represent myself to exactly who I am, I didn't want to over-do it, I wanted to keep things to how I would usually apply my makeup just a tad more put together for my viewers :)

I used Lancôme - Tient Idole Ultra as it is a good foundation for me as I like abit of coverage that will still allow my skin to breath (it can get a little hot being all flustered infront of the camera you know!)
I also applied a little Collection - Lasting Perfection concealer under the ol bags under my eyes and down the bridge of nose as a slight contour, along with a touch of my Illamsqua cream blush in Seduce to add a pinched flush to my cheeks just to make me look a little more awake than zombiefied, lastly for the base I brushed some MAC Mineralize Skin Finish - Adored to give me a healthy glow and highlight on the tops of my cheekbones, I 'adore' this highlighter, its the perfect shade for me as im just a little on the pale side!

Loving the shot I managed to grab here haha & excuse the top being a tad see-through (oops) #filmingfail.

Prepping the lips was a must before anything could be applied to them as for some reason I seem to have awoken with super dry chapped lips today so I used my Lush Lip Scrub - Bubblegum (tastes freaking amazing) with some Lanolips Lemonade Lip-Aid to make them all soft again I then used my favourite formula glosses at the moment - Tanya Burr - Exotic Island which has to be one of the prettiest blue pinks imaginable, and makes your teeth look white white - always good for being on film :)

Eyes and brows were kept pretty simple, as I explained earlier I didn't want to stray to far from my usual everyday look so kept it muted with MAC's Naked Lunch and Satin Taupe shadows light brushed over the lids, my sleek brow kit in light, I only applied the shadow to my brows as the gel can be a little heavy for the daytime and is slightly too dark for me, then set this all in place with my No7 Brow Set Gel :)

I really hoped you liked this post and having a little delve into a sneak-peek of what will be coming up on my channel soon, atleast once ive mastered the technique of editing!

See you soon, Frankie xxx

Bumble and Bumble - Secret Hairdressers Invisible Oil

Hey my lovelies, im welcoming myself back to the wonderful world of blogging, seeing as i have been MIA for a while now :( i have seriously missed blogging so much, if you guys read my last post you will have seen a little bit of what i have been upto recently, but to cut a long story short i have had a very hectic few months, i have finally moved house and nearly all settled into it, but thats all for another post coming soon (hint hint house tour)

I just wanted to write a short post about this beauty, i have had this for agessss and recently decided to start using again as i was a little bored of Moroccan Oil and wanted something to bring my dry winter hair back to life!

The Secret hairdressers invisible oil is actually so lovely, its very lightweight - aslong as you use it sparingly, if you apply to much to your hair it can make your hair look very greasy and it doesnt come out until you next wash it so bear that in mind!

If you apply a small 10p piece to your hand and smooth into wet/damp hair you will seriously have no fly aways or frizziness once your hair has dried!

I just recently had my hair trimmed as even though i am growing it long it had become unmanagable and very dry due to the weather in England being very cold and humid, this has brought my hair back to life, and adding the oil into my haircare routine has definitely improved the condition of it even more, im loving this little bottle of orange goodness right now and think i will be using it for a while atleast :)

Have any of you used this oil or have any reccomendations for Bumble and Bumble products as im really keen to try out some more stuff from the brand and tempted by a shampoo & conditioner!

Let me know and ill see you all soon, Lots of Love

Autumnal Eyes..

Seeing as Autumn is finally here i decided it was time i break out the autumnal makeup, ive been hunting for the perfect olive/green eyeshadow for a week or so now, with a few mishaps in my search, bottle green and 'halloween' green i have established does not suit me, i have found the perfect little gem for my skin and eye colour!

Lancome Ombre Absolue Shadow in 1202 - Erika is the most beautiful subtle olive green, with a light dusting of shimmery glitter running through it, apparently according to many bloggers out there this has been a very hyped up, talked about colour, which i hadn't actually ever heard of, it was only when i was on a recent trip to Boots i decided to have a look at Lancome's recent offerings i discovered this little gem..

You definitely need to use a primer with Erika as the glitter fallout is unreal, its definite one in which you do your eye makeup before your foundation routine as you will have a very gleen glittery face if you dont, i absolutely love this colour and cannot wait to wear it for my birthday on saturday as i have reserved it for my birthday face of the night :)

Secondly i purchased the Cils Booster XL - essentially a mascara primer which gives you exceptionally long plump lashes in one coat, it has small fibers inside the mixture which prime and protect the lashes whilst enhacing the colour of your mascara once applied..

You apply this to clean lashes as you would your usual mascara, allow it to dry then apply your regular mascara on top of it and you have amazing looking eyes in a flash, i actually didnt expect it to make a huge difference but i was so shocked to see how long it made my lashes look, i can definitely tell the difference when i dont use it now!

Lastly i picked up the Ombre Hynose Mascara in Brown, my reaons for picking up my FIRST ever brown mascara were due to a few YouTubers who i hear keep saying brown mascara works really well for blue eyes and for a pale skin, which is exactly me, ive been thinking for a while now that black mascara is too harsh on my face so this is the perfect balance for me, you cant actually really tell that its brown once its on, it just looks alot softer on my face than a regular black mascara does!

I really love the wand on the Hypnose mascara, it has a curved shape to it which make its really easy to define the lashes and gives you a really lovely curl to them which holds all day!

Have you tried any of these products before? Im actually really loving Lancome at the moment, thanks Carly Cristman for your YouTube videos and sending me back in there direction :)

Happy Sunday everyone :) P.S a little personal note, my baby sister was born on friday evening, so welcome to the world baby Ivy Tabitha Clarke <3

kevin aucoin - the celestial powder - candlelight..

I knew i wanted this before i even saw it, its perfect & simple , no nonsense packaging and a truly amazing product hidden away inside, the Kevin Aucoin, Celestial Powder in Candlelight is a highlight lovers dream come true!

I must say i hadnt actually intended going out and buying this but a recent little trip with my friend Millie to Space NK found me picking up this delight and walking away with a happy face :)

Ok so yesss you can see from the photos that i did the cardinal sin when it comes to beauty blogs and i used it before i took photos, i couldnt help it, it had sat in its little Space NK bag for a few days waiting for me to get around to photographing it but busy days and long nights currently left me with no time and a want to use it, so that i did, and god im glad i did!

Personally im not a huge fan of the packaging, i know alot of people love that its simple but i just find it so boring for such an amazing product, this is the first thing ive brought from Kevin Aucoin and i think the packaging may have a little reason for this, but for this highlight i will definitely foresee it as i couldnt honestly tell you just how beautiful it is!

The product itself is so finely milled and buttery soft, it literally glides onto the skin weightlessly, you wouldnt even know you were applying it to your face but the glow it gives you is nothing like ive found from any other highlight, in the pan it looks quite dark but when transferred onto the skin it gives the most angelic pearlescent glow, it makes you look healthy, radiant and glowing literally instantly.
It picks up the light on your face and makes you look completely transformed in the swipe of a brush!

You can see how light the powder is, but the sheen is so apparent even on my pale skin, it is just way to perfect for words and i never ever thought i would've found it this amazing!

I think you can tell how happy i am that i purchased Candlelight, and i know i have almost certainly found a product i will stick by for life, i just want to tell everyone about it because it is just way too good to be left under wraps, the fact that Candlelight it so good makes me want to try even more in his collections, i definitely have my eye on a few lipsticks..

Let me know if you have tried anything from Kevin Aucoin and if you have tried Candlelight!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend?

Lots of love Frankie xXx

Beauty Haul.. House of Fraser, Boots & Lush..

So id tweeted a few days ago asking what primers/setting sprays you all recommended, id been on the hunt for some new ones as my current bits just weren't working that well for me, i dont know if its to do with the weather but my make-up just isnt staying on my skin, it doesnt matter what foundation i wear it just comes off and im left patchy at the end of the day :(

The majority of people that replied kept saying to go for the Urban Decay setting sprays which was infact the ones i had my eyes on already, ive been previously using Mac Fix+ which dont get me wrong i absolutely LOVE it, it just leaves me looking to dewy for this time of year which i think isnt helping my makeup stay on very well.

I decided to go for the Chill setting spray as it sets your makeup perfectly but doesnt matte out the skin, it still leaves you looking fresh and not overly dewy, but gives a healthy glow without being shiney, i tried this out the past few days and i have to say my makeup has'n't budged, not even in the slightest, i even wore it last night and my makeup was still completely intact after going to a gig and a club (yes i know i actually ventured out for once in my life instead of playing cat lady at home with my blanket and a cup of tea)

The primer i had already kind of decided on as ive been wanting to give this a go ever since i saw Boots had started stocking it, the SmashBox Photo-ready primer is oil and paraben free, i liked the idea of this, once applied to your face it literally sinks into the skin, completely disguising any pores on your face leaving you with a lovely smooth base ready to apply your foundation, concealer etc.

I purchased the smaller 12ml sized primer incase i didnt like it, this is currently in Boots for £12.50 which i think is a really good price for a SmashBox product, and its also the first time ive tried something from the brand :)

This little orangey goodness caught my eye, its a shower brush, anyone who knows me knows i have a serious hair product addiction and anything that can be used in the shower to help smoothand de-tangle my wild mane is a huge bonus, i had never seen these before and i think the fact it was orange helped sway me into buying it as im obsessed with the bloody colour :)

I also really like Denman products, i have a teezer brush from them and it gives the best volume out of any brush ive ever used, they have such good quality brushes so i trust this will be just as good!

Another product again ive been wanting for ages but could never justify the £5.50 price tag for a small tub of basically sugar you could make yourself at home, but the last few weeks my lips have been dryer than normal and frankly im too lazy to make my own haha, the smell of this is divine, literally sweet bubblegum goodness in a jar, plus you can use the product straight from the pot and lick of the remains which is good for a little sweet tooth lover like me!

I must say its really helped the condition of my lips and they look much plumper and more alive again now, i use this before bed and then apply the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Lip Balm over the top and i wake up with beautiful soft lips ready for the day ahead :)

Hope you've all had a good weekend, mine has been super busy with work and actually going out for once, im now very sleepy and will be reverting back to my usual cat lady self and lazing with Samuel and the cats watching a film.

Let me know what youve all been upto and if you've brought any goodies this week?

lots of love, Frankie xXx

#RushBloggerMeet at Rush Hair & Beauty..

Hey guys, sorry its been a few days since ive posted but ive been super busy with work and other things that i just haven't gotten round to posting much this week, im now currently sitting down infront of my TV watching Youtube, drinking tea from my favourite Cath Kidston mug and FINALLY writing a post for you all :D

So last night i ventured upto London for an amazing event i had the luck of being invited too, it was the #RushBloggerMeet which was being hosted by the wonderful people at House of Rush in Piccadilly, what an amazing venue to have chosen!
The event was hosted by the lovely ladies and a fellow blogger Becky from Lipgloss and Lashes and Laura who works for a PR company @Lauzzenger, the girls did such a fantastic job at making everyone feel welcome and the event was seriously so good, im so pleased i got the chance to attend, thankyou girlies :D

First of let me tell you just how beautiful this place is, id done a little sneaky online before i went there to see what it looked like and its even more beautiful in real life, the smell, seriously, heavenly, they were burning candles around the whole salon called 'THAI treatments' i WILL be hunting these things down because i neeeeeed them burning in my home!

The beauty treatment rooms are beautiful, you literally walk in and feel relaxed by the scent and the calm music playing softly in the background, we all got the oppurtunity to have oxygen facials, seriously i think i fell asleep half way through, its so relaxing, its basically a facial using oxygen being blown onto your face through a small nozzle, it feels like a dusting of cool water as it is moved around your face and you can have it done whilst wearing your makeup so perfect for a lunch-break treatments, it is pure oxygen which opens your pores allowing them to fully breath clean air therefor thoroughly allowing your pores to be cleaned, it leaves your skin with a beautiful dewy finish (Sam from Honey Go Lightly having her facial).

The interior of the salon is so chic, with quotes dotted around by famous names, inspiring you as you walk around, i've also decided i must book myself in here for a cut as i just want to sit infront of the beautiful hanging mirrors and take a selfie
(blogger problems)!
Also How cute are the room names :)

We also got to have a manicure done, super relaxing and if you'd seen the state of my nails before hand you'd have been glad they were offering this haha, i love having my nails done so this was such a treat for me, i chose Essie 'Fishnet Stockings' a beautiful berry red colour perfect for this Autumnal weather..

Doctor Carvar was also there to give us demonstations on Botox and Dermal Fillers, something ive considered in the past and now i have seen her first hand performing the procedure on a client i must say im more inclined to get them done in a few years, the lady having them done didnt even flinch, you can also dissolve the product too, so if you dont like the effect you can actually remove it, this is whats swayed my mind as im paranoid of having the dreaded 'frozen face'

Im so pleased i went and learnt so much from attending, met some lovely bloggers and got the chance to drool over the salon, the products and the food, i forgot about the food, delicious yummyness all in one area, i wanted some cake but never did as i feared of getting it all over me haha!

How bloody good does that cake look, i should've asked to take it home, i could've done with it on the train journey mmm ::)

Thankyou girls and to Rush for allowing us all to attend such a fantastic event, and a huge thankyou for the goody bags, im SOOOO pleased with my filofax, im in need of a new one :D
I also cant wait to try out all the other goodies, it did include some hair paste from Rush which i gave to Samuel, he used it tonight to go out and it smells like bananas mmm, also some Lindt chocolates but i ate them as there my favourites :)

Incase your wanting to get yourself over to Rush i have a code for you, you can get 20% of any beauty treatment or 50% of microderm treatment (which im desperate to try myself) when you call to book use the quote BLOG20 or MICRO50 to take up this fantastic offer!

Hope youve all had a brilliant week?

Lots of love Frankie xXx
